- For Male Candidates: The age limit for male candidates is between 21 and 30 years. However, there is a concession of 5 years, extending the upper age limit to 35 years.
- For Female Candidates: Female candidates must be between 21 and 30 years old, with a concession of 8 years, allowing them to apply up to the age of 38 years.
- Transgender Candidates: The age and sex of transgender candidates will be determined based on the contents of their CNIC.

Selection Process:
The selection process for the Librarian position will consist of a one-paper MCQ type written test, carrying 100 marks and lasting 90 minutes. The test will cover the following topics:
- Qualification Related Questions (80%): The majority of the test will focus on assessing candidates’ knowledge and expertise in Library Science.
- General Ability (20%): The remaining portion will include questions related to General Knowledge, Pakistan Studies, Current Affairs, Geography, Basic Mathematics, English, Urdu, Everyday Science, and Basic Computer Studies.

- Equivalence Certificate for Foreign/Local Qualifications: Candidates claiming equivalence to the prescribed qualification must submit an equivalence certificate issued by the Competent Authority of HEC/PMDC/PMC/PEC & QEDC of the concerned Administrative Department.
- Experience from Private Firms/Entities: Candidates claiming experience from private firms/entities must provide proof of registration of the firm/entity with SECP, Registrar of Firms, or any other Regulatory Authority.
- Departmental Permission Certificate/NOC: Applicants must immediately apply for a Departmental Permission Certificate/NOC in their concerned departments after applying for the Librarian position.
- Registration in Relevant Bodies: Candidates should ensure they have obtained/applied for registration in PEC/PNC/PMDC/PMC/PVMC or other relevant bodies for a Registration Certificate on or before the Closing Date.
- Providing Marks Obtained/Total Marks or Percentage Certificate: Applicants must provide marks obtained/total marks or percentage certificates of all degrees issued by the Competent Authority at the time of the interview. CGPA is not acceptable.
